Comic for Monday, January 2nd
Oh dear gods, did the writer just introduce 6 new characters?! Why would he do that? I promise… we’ll be see some older faces soon enough… 😉 A comprehensive update of the cast sheet is definitely a key February project, so feel free to bug me about it then if I haven’t gotten around to it. I think I will set up the next Patreon goal then as well, as there isn’t much reason to do it now.
I would like to apologize for the new characters, but it would ring hollow as we both know this is just the tip the of the iceberg…
The real question is how did Arron open the door with his hands in his pockets. Must be one of those fancy automatic doors.

I agree with the red headed lady about poor decision making. They poked a dragon with a stick instead of turning around and trying to get to safety…
Arron really has a habit of walking in on the children misbehaving. Though I dare say these children are misbehaving worse than his own minions were (I am sorry BuilderOfCastles, I forgot your names for them – Julie?).
I used to think Peter was responsible for the wrinkles, but I am beginning to suspect that everyone in the IDS contributes.
Also… “pet” tactical mage? He really better hope Fluffy the Dragon never hears him say that. Kally, she would be calm and in control of her temper *cough*, but Fluffy the Dragon… well, that is a different story. Fluffy the Dragon would have to eat him for that.
Julie I think? Maybe Michelle? There might have been a few names he cycled through. I think BuilderOfCastles may win this one, as I don’t know when in canon we’d get a name and by now it may be too late. Well, at least with the one he’s using for his avatar. I don’t think I am going to name a character ‘cheeto’ or ‘dorito’ or something (which is what I think he deemed the blond guy’s name).
I had referred to the two analysts as Dorita (who I think is Julie) and Chip because they seemed to be eating chips on one of Arron’s many times catching them being less than in complete compliance with official policy.
Yah know now that I think of it Tyler’s sheriff outfit would be somewhat appropriate and semi-badass on Arron in this setting.
Haha, ol’ man Arron runs would run a sharp town. No cattle rustlers there, that’d be sure. Well. Until Peter’s gang of cybercow thieves rolled into town, then things get proper complicated.
Oh I hope we get to see Arron be be the badass cool guy for a change.
He just so seems like he deserves a turn at that. (I think he’s overdue a turn at that…)
Arron has a tough life these days on catching a break… but hey, if we get a bonus comic of ‘back in the day’ we’d might get a bunch of him getting his turn… before most of these young whippersnappers could properly tie their shoes (though he’s not actually that old).
Mayhap they’ll be the fools that run an old man’s temper dry. God knows a certain someone has burned off most of the patience reserves.
Arron Kepler, David the Weasel’s greatest nightmare–whether the Weasel knows it or not. 🙂
This is just my opinion, but it seems to me that Arron is not in a let-it-be-defused-gently mood. ^^
I reckon David has some inkling his day is not getting better, but the he is not gifted with great cleverness. There is a reason he was… well… let’s just say involved in this. He is not my least favorite character on this page though… 😐

I my opinion Greig’s “Hall of the Mountain King” would work better. Alas I think someone else has it right now. Well when the cast page gets updated I will have an excuse to redo the leitmotif suggestion list as well.
Cast page update will be when I get back. You can see it’s sort of started, but we’ve gotten to the point where I will basically be just leaving IOUs everywhere till I get back.
In all seriousness once I’m back my schedule looks better than it has in months to actually get stuff done. We’ll see though.
I think that The Imperial March (Vader’s theme) from Star Wars would work great. It’s not how I think of him, but I’ll bet David does. ^^
On how Arron opened the door are we sure magic isn’t an answer?
And certainly someone stepped outside their jurisdiction with that whole mess earlier. Its just a question of WHO.
I feel that the door was the only smart one in the room, and respectfully got out of the way. (or else it was just doory self preservation.) ^_^

Well, Arron is probably outside of his Director Arron Kepler of Criminal Investigations authority (because he said that already) but I do not think they are accounting for Major Arron Kepler of Central Military Command.
I notice that while not a uniform, his shirt matches Kally’s uniform color, and he appears to be wearing an insignia of some sort on his collar. It could be a uniform of sorts, or it could just be a reminder to everyone assembled who they are dealing with.
Nice catch on the shirt, I think his coat has the same symbol on the collar too. He may very well be in his uniform. Looks like he means business, this will be fun to watch.
