Comic for Wednesday, February 24th
Ah… so much text… plus I typed and entered it when I was tired… probably many typos… I’ll try to fix them as people see ’em or I find ’em.
As you may be able to deduce by today’s update running late(ish), Friday’s update will be rather late. Friday evening or Saturday morning.
I know this comic won’t answer all the questions, but maybe some of ’em. We’ve seen Naomi’s mercurial personality before – to what extent it’s a facade will remain a mystery. We also saw hints that Kally may have actually been having fun earlier in the game before she decided she had to win. What a peculiar notion, Kally having fun. Even she doesn’t seem to know what to think of it.
As for Peter’s hint… well, my hint to that is… while it’s a good hint, it does involve some data the readers don’t have access to yet do guess exactly what it means… 😉
This is going to be short as I’m way past sleepy time, but as always, appreciate all those that send feedback or comments my way, and I’ll continue to see if we can’t improve here and there. Corresponding to an increase in feedback… I’m aware that the quality of the art has definitely taken a hit, but most people that I’ve heard from are in favor of keeping as many updates as possible over spending more time making it neat, so that’s how we march for now. If you have a thought, always feel free to use the info on the contact page to let me know, but I promise only that I’ll read what you got to say 😉

On an archive binge. Ellipses seems highly relevant. At this point, that would imply internal sabatoge. Aaron and Tom are the only two known users, but it’s strongly implied IDS has trained others – and it’s unknown if the technique affects cameras.
On one myself, on a quick thought, I came to a rather different conclusion. Cameras monitoring a computer would be able to watch anything happening in that room, including anything involving a computer. If I was able to hack into a camera watching you work on the computer, I could, for instance, record you entering your password…
@Egneil: Don’t forget that Peter and Miko are top-line hackers, and Mium is, according to Kor’s World, a “Virus-person”. 🙂
The Intruder only tampered with the cameras. But that doesn’t mean their teammates didn’t tamper with other systems.
There are many loopholes 😀
Kally knew from the start the only way she was going to get something useful out of him was to let him give whatever he wanted though, trying to get a truly straight answer out of Peter’s usually not something you want to count on… 😉
Kally seems to have found a potential friend, or at least a nice game that she can practice her magic with. 🙂 Although I’m guessing that she knows a good deal of “classified” magic.
As for Peter’s hint, my first guess would be invisibility… But that’s seeming like it might be a bit too difficult with this magic system. So my guess will instead be magically hacking the cameras to either read the documents, or allow someone in who was unknowingly bugged.
As for the writing the only typo that I can see is that you might want remarkably instead of remarkable.

I would suspect you’re right on the Kally front. I would suspect she needs more friends and less classified magic knowledge too 😀
Peter’s hint will make sense in not too long… but I bet the readers will get the clues needed before the IDS does… never know though!
It does hinge slightly on the magic system though, and as much as try to define what’s plausible and now in the system, it’s always hard to speculate that sort of thing when it comes to magic! 😀

And since Peter knows how, I think Kally has her hint about who also. ^^
Well… Peter knows a lot of things. I reckon he’s only guilty of most of them… 😛
It’s worth mentioned that as far as Kally knows, the data was stolen, but still intact; but who has more information on it? Who can say… 😉
