Comic for Wednesday, December 23rd
Hmmm. It was shown that Peter knew who Mir was previously and vaguely suggested they might have some form of previous acquaintance, in that he suggested she didn’t let things go easily.
Ila’s increasingly casual demeanor more will make sense in time 😉
Further, I would posit that managing to get to the top 5 of Mir’s list is an impressive feat considering how long I suspect that list is. That said, I’m not convinced Mium hasn’t made it their either for all his commentary on Peter here…
We are almost to the end of Chapter 4! Soon we will reach the almost entirely arbitrary point I’ve decided is Chapter 5! Exciting! 😉
And I did look up that “X” is spelled “ex”… probably shoulda looked up the rest of the words I inevitable spelled wrong!
In unrelated to the comic personal complaining… our resident foolish artist has maybe been a fool. As I mentioned previously I be will starting an office job at the end of January; this left me with a lot of loose ends to tie up and between that and my not-very-productive month of November (due to being on vacation) not a lot of time to do it – and it appears I may have gone a little overboard with parts of it, namely the art-ing part of my job. This comic only represents a portion of the drawing work I have, and I was getting toward quite a bit of drawing a day. Embarrassingly, ridiculously and frustratingly this seems to have taken a toll on my wrist (I still think injuring yourself while sitting in a chair drawing is ridiculous, but here we are).
As noted previously, this update and Friday’s were previously done, and Monday’s was mostly finished already as well; I can finish left handed if needed. Since I will be dealing with Christmas stuff I imagine I won’t be drawing or working too much in general for a bit, so we are hoping it just sort of chills out. Hopefully I’m just being a little paranoid since I’ve seen plenty of artists crumple from that sort of thing, and it’ll be fine. If all else fails I’m going to see my physical therapist for the shoulder in January and I’m sure he’ll have an opinion (though they always boil down to “do less of the thing you do!”) 😛
I bring all this up to complain about it as for warning there may be a short break in updates if it doesn’t go swimmingly – or we will go back to the game that some of you may remember from when I injured my shoulder called “guess which parts of the comic I drew with my left hand” – hint, it’s always the backgrounds 😛 )… as always though, I will note the comic will continue in the long run either way (if I’m ever unable to draw it for a long period of time, I’ll hire an artist – don’t worry about the comic just abruptly ending 😉 ).

Can Naomi cook? I think I see an exploitable hole in Ila’s protocols-a tasty one. ^^
In any case, a candy bar would probably be helpful. 🙂
Or alternatively can Peter cook? Honestly I don’t really see that happening though. Mostly I just want it for the irony than anything else.
Maybe also as a joke of where one of those red exes came from on Mir’s sheet.
Naomi seems too careless and impatient, Peter seems too lazy and ambivalent, Mium seems like the best bet but seems confused on the… finer points. Never know, though 😉
I would also imagine that Ila’s standards are really rather low… human food -> tasty food as far as she’s aware. We’ll see at some point how she figured out about tasty food…
It’ll be a troublesome day when she discovers what actual tasty food is like… 😉
I imagine we’ll here the backstory to at least a few of those red exes in time… 😉 Some of them are warranted, some of them are more humours… 😀
I figured that Peter was too otaku to have learned how to cook, and I seriously doubt that Mium has a sense of taste (he probably made that nutrition bar that Ila hated so much).
Since they have to eat something, and ordering food to be delivered would reveal their location, that sorta left Naomi…..
And I know two fairly impatient ladies who enjoy cooking, so that wasn’t a concern. 🙂
Haha, I understand the line of reasoning, I’m just musing.
I imagine however Peter has an indentity ready for ordering Pizza. Seems like the sort of thing he’d have.
That said, they probably eat there somehow frequently – I guess ‘knows how to cook’ is a broad range though 😉
As far as Ila is concerned… I think you’ve already got an idea toward simpler solutions that may more directly appeal to young prototype low on energy 😉

Thanks; I’ll see what I can do on the get well front. I’m still hoping I’m more on the “not-needing-to-get-well” side, but we’ll see. Did pretty much no drawing today, will finish up Monday’s tomorrow then take a break till Monday and hope it’s fine; that’s the current plan anyway.
you’ve been through a lot. if i can give this to you and Naomi, it’s this: close your eyes, take a slow, calm, deep cleansing breath in, slowly breathe out, and relax.

Somehow I’ve never quite learned my lesson on “do more of the thing” is not always the answer to my problems… I’m still optimistic that I’ll figure it out someday 😉
