you got the dates mixed up. the mini calendar says Oct. 5th, the title says Monday October 10th. p.s., October 10th was on Saturday.
Converting from Malsa time is tricky. I don’t think it’s not as bad as some places I’ve been, mind you. Or maybe Past is just good enough at it that I don’t have a proper concept for how bad it is.
Devs count up in milliseconds from Jan 1, 1970. So he’s only slightly off. He’s probably using Javascript which is notoriously bad at mathing things

I wonder how much of Sophie’s mental issues are caused by needing to keep running calculations for all things like Atter she has up?
I assume that once a construct like Atter or Fluffy is stable, it only needs calculations if you want to make changes to it and/or manipulate it. Given that Atter currently is in need of a GREAT deal of repair, it may be fair enough to assume a lot of Sophie’s attention IS on that right now….
Halloween ideas: The main cast as the new borderlands characters.

Peter as the Operative
Either Ila or kalli as the gunner (Ila seems to fit the character better, but kalli actually summons a giant monster to help her fight, maybe Muim can be Ila’s Iron bear?
Perhaps Mium as the Beast-Master (although, After might be a better fit)
Maybe Ila as Tiny Tina?
Anyway, just ideas

All I know is that if it is a Halloween theme, Fluffy better make an appearance. If there’s a monster based holiday theme and the dragon doesn’t make the cut, I’ll be convinced of voter fraud. 😉
I fully endorse an image with a firearm. Ila or Kally is fine. Both is even better.
What about Fluffy as Bumblebee and Kalli as Charlie (from the recent-ish Transformers film)

Really? Nice! alternatively, there are those massive stun-guns she uses to jumpstart bumblebee, I think one of those would look pretty snaz. in the picture! (if your car has a flat battery, most mechanics would advise against tazing it ’til it runs, battery chargers are more reliable and probably safer way to make it start… Unless you car is actually a metal alien in disguise, in that case it seems fine.)

I had a recent model Outback that I had to charge to get to start. Frequently. It was not an electric nor a hybrid. It never gave me reason to suspect it was a Transformer. I would have liked to taze most of the dealership staff. Apparently that was illegal at the time, but I think now I could maybe get away with it if I called it protesting.
Panel 2: “when those actions about loosing demons to wreck havoc” is a bit unparsable, not sure what was meant there. I would probably have replaced ‘about’ with ‘were’ or ‘included’. Also, the idiom is “wreak havoc”, not “wreck havoc”, though they’re pronounced the same way (wreak is “cause to occur”, wreck is “destroy”)
indeed; I would go with go with “actions about” -> “actions involve”, and agree with the wreck/wreak thing….
Kor’s world showed up. Made a deal with the devil for safety. Anxious to learn more about House of Summers’ views on Kor’s World. I think we’re pretty clear on their view of Sophie, Biana, and demons.
I’m intrigued.
Burned angel $%!t is rather famous as a curse here. Doesn’t this place Kor’s World in an interesting light? Somewhere out there is a group of atheists saying it’s even worse than we thought!
I don’t think House of Summers views KW in a positive light. I’m curious who they dislike more. I’m guessing KW, as Atter is a problem to be dealt with sooner or later, but KW seems like an all hands on deck thing.
I assume Fluffy would like to make KW operatives into Dragon $%!t – but struggle to believe Kally actually designed in a digestive tract and so forth.

Once again, proof that “with powerful mages come powerful mental dysfunctions”. Seriously, Tyler is the most normal S class we’ve got and not only is he on the lower end compared to some of the others but he’s both an obsessive personality with a bezerk button but also is an idealistic patriot with a fanclub. Is it any surprise that an immortal higher-end mage does things, including starting a war by loosing a demon and trying to take over a country after the attempted murder of several members of her own organization, because they are “interesting”?
That said, she is probably right about the powers that be letting her out. She may be a nightmare when she gets bored (which may be why the IDS sent her out to the middle of no-where) but she is a powerful and fully expendable asset when they have somewhere to point her. “Crazy powerful” tends to be like that; good during wartime but a danger to your own side otherwise.

Otherwise I’m not sure what all’s a typo when the lady’s typical idiom is… decidedly not normal. I’m very curious now to see what exactly she IS, because it’s not human…
Regarding Sophie’s speaking, I noted on the patreon post about her speaking pattern which might be helpful to share here too:
It feels to me like she’s both incredibly condescending and not really all that keen on wasting her precious mental abilities on grammar or coherence.
If she’s that old… Societies come and go. Civilizations rise and fall. Languages that DON’T control the fabric of reality are ephemeral.
If you can make the short lived beasties understand you, why bother going all in to learn their monkey talk ….
It almost felt like she was one of Mium’s lesser siblings, given her speech pattern. A machine intelligence with poor language-parsing/construction skills, and a Mium-like paperclip-maximizer focus on something slightly off-kilter from her creators’ actual wishes.
We’ve discussed the possibility that general purpose AIs and demons/materialized constructs might not be all that different. More of a substrate/ underlying technology different than ideologically.
If that’s true, she might be a closely related to Mium as Ila.
Corrections for the other character panel 2, 2nd bubble:
“HQ will decide what [to] do about Kors World. Your actions could needless[ly] provoke them. Particularly when those actions [“concern” or “are about” or “are”] loosing demons to wreck havoc.”
As Colnel Rici has no reason for bad grammar.
Sophie makes a great argument in the last panel. Both, for here and there, when not in use, we should keep our weapons locked-up.
