Comic for Monday, April 11th
Well, I suppose we have a name for REF… though I’m guessing it’s too late for him called something else by now… π
Guess I’ll have to add him to character page for sure now though. I’ve started to update it a little. We’ll add new ones as we goΒ – first person each page to come up withΒ a character that needs to be added to the character page I’ll add with the next page update π (if anyone suggests one!). They’ll be added with the new sketchy headshots you can see currently up for Peter/Naomi/Mium/Lisa(she’s the new one this round π ) and a short bio. The sketches are being uploaded atΒ drawing size over at Patreon on the free section, you can see ’em here.
Also, new vote incentive (told you I’d try to try something else this weekend). It’s a character we haven’t met, but whose been referenced in the comic. Fair warning, character designs for characters that haven’t appeared in comic aren’t final (…anyone remembers the early drafts of Ila? π )
And yes, REF does rather like to talk. No, lack of an audience does not seem to bother him.
um, where’s the next page?
Should be up tonight, probably fairly late tonight though. Been a busy week π
Ummm, I am unsure of the proper etiquette for being shot at but I am dubious it is civil to blow up a section of a building the shooter is standing in. Also his “knock” shook the whole building. That being said Rovak has had the best recruitment pitch so far in the story.
You know what the say, an eye for a blowing-them-and-everything-near-them-to-smitherns. Or something like that.
He’s got the two vital components to a successful salesman, an upbeat attitude and endless persistence… π
Nah I like him so he can’t be a salesman π
Isn’t it nice how he goes through all the right channels? Gets up to the reception, stating his business and asking for an appointment.
He’s really the courteous type, isn’t he. All civil and good manners.
A hundred years ago when I was a boy, Mad Magazine did a bit about how well-mannered villains are compared to the heroes.
Of course, the villains were just being sarcastic or ironic, but at face value, it was true.
Villain?! Didn’t you read his business card?? It he said it says ‘good guy’ right on it! π
He’s certainly seemed quite affable so far. Besides the occasional blowing things up. Just a little thing, really.
Panel 5:
“…With particular interest to your recent withdraw from PACT…”
Instead of “withdraw” it should be “withdrawal”…
Sorry for late reply, fixed this above. Appreciate it π
Hmmm. Rovak Stas….Rovak Stas…. I’m not seeing any model numbers hidden there, so probably a human base with….upgrades. This bypasses the whole “AI’s can’t do magic” controversy. π
I WAS expecting his team to join him, however.
Nice Voting Incentive. π
Well, I’m not sure there are any rules about how people name themselves… but it doesn’t seem to fit the pattern thus far π
I think his team tends to work with a fairly established pattern – the rest of them have proven less resilient then he is, and thus tend to let him take the point man role. He’s a wee bit confident, after all, though we’ve seen that even he does poses some level of discretion…
