Okay so that’s sort of title gore. Posting from airport as I forgot last night, so work with me here 🙂
sort of forgot it was Monday, not just “the day I have to get on a plane and fly a bunch”.
For those that don’t remember it from last time, this is a prequel comic from earlier in the time line starting when Kally joined the IDS. I will link to part one when i get a chance later.

That’s a pretty disconcerting shadow on her covers……
I’m not sure that’s a shadow, and not just a pattern (presumably of a dragon) on the covers.
I would assume, however, that if it’s a dragon pattern, Kally got it as a gift from someone.
On the other hand, if it’s a shadow … it is indeed disconcerting. Although, it is likely that she hasn’t been there for very long, as this seems to follow shortly after the first minus years (starts http://pastutopia.com/?comic=minus-years-part-1), at which point she didn’t have a residence, per Peter, so it’s unlikely that any enemies know of her existence/presence, much less where she sleeps. So … if it’s a shadow, it’s probably Peter/Peter’s fault.
It looks draconic… so do we know if Fluffy cast a shadow or glows?
I do not think we have ever seen an Ethereal Object cast as shadow. I think we have seen them glow on occasion. That said, a red form might cast a shadow as it started getting closer and closer to “real”, as from what I understand red forms are the closest to real and interact with physics the most.
From what we have seen of Kally of this era, it is safe to say that the Dragon (code name, Fluffy) is her best friend. Having a dragon on her blanket seems pretty reasonable. I can imagine her showing up with a suitcase full of uniforms, and a dragon blanket.
She just has a more badass “imaginary friend” than most people.
honestly, I just like seeing that she’s got something other than the job. the previous bit of Minus Years showed her being distinctly uncomfortable with the lack of formality. also, the dragon blanket is freaking adorable.
Pretty sure that is just a pattern. Look at the folds of the sheet, the dark mark skips forward, whereas a shadow would skip the other direction.
They have different definition of “soon”.
Also, Kally clearly has had insufficient downtime in her prior postings. A rather concerning lack of downtime, really.
I enjoy the action in this scene.
