The Far Side of Utopia

Going to be trying to do a few less panels per page, with more for the backdrop and speech bubbles, as well as drawing more of the characters. I’m trying to move away from the “talking head” style of pages.

How successful that will be remains to be seen, but at least I like this page more than the last few.

Of note, since it may be hard to tell which end of the car is the front, cars drive on the left hand side of the road in Malsa (note that all locations in this comic are fictional – while the world has some analogues, none of the worlds are geographically or historically earth, though the world the I.D.S originates from is the closest analog, as the ‘magic’ has only widespread there quite recently, while here it has been a part of most of their history, though it is currently undergoing a technological revolution due to the concepts of magic technology (such as Autocasters) brought by the I.D.S.
