Normally I make the joke when a comic is late that I put up the comic around the time ya’ll have have given up on it, but this time I think we are firmly after that point.
Anyway, lots of difficulties on getting this one completed. Not sure if those will persist or not, had some issues with the tablet I use to draw the comic; that’s basically all the tablet is used for, and its pretty old at this point. But I think its working again.
Not going to make any promises what the schedule will be yet given how sketchy its been so far, but I’ll try for more than once a month, so there’s that.
On the bright side, I’m getting theoretically close to wrapping up my other project but it’s clinging onto my time and dragging things out.

Hey Folks-
I just wanted to update folks as to what’s going on since there hasn’t been a lot of comics. As most of you know, my ‘day job’ is publishing D&D books through Kickstarter, and I was supposed to finally wrap up my last project in July.
Unfortunately, while the book arrived in port, customs decided to seize the books for what amounts to bullshit. This is a pretty big problem, since the books are delivered to a port across the country from me, and I cannot really afford to lose a shipment of books (…leaving aside that they are already sold to backers).
Its a process that takes a surprising amount of time (and money) to try to resolve. Unfortunately, this is just sort the reality of dealing with importing at the moment; it’s not unique to me, though I got unluckier than most.
Until stuff has resolved on that side, I things here will be a semi-hiatus. I just don’t have the bandwidth to worry about more stuff at the moment.
I’m hopeful that I’ll finish dealing with all that bullshit this month, but the impact may persist since its eaten a lot of time out of actually making new stuff for my next Kickstarter (…leaving aside that I’m not sure if doing more Kickstarters under the current trade situation is actually a feasible thing to do).
Not going to trouble folks here with the details, but I figured I should explain what’s going on as this was supposed to be when updates would resume to a more normal schedule instead of stop completely.

Damn, that customs stuff really sucks. We understand that your real life that puts food on your table is more important. I’d offer help but I’m not on either coast. Take your time to fix your real life.

Post your “sufficient” and “dream” tablet models on GoFundMe or Kofi. Maybe we could knock it out pretty quick. Donors, supporters, and customers all like concrete goals. I just check every Monday and Thursday and am occasionally pleasantly surprised.
This is how I visit all of my comics. They are a gift to me. If they were regular I might begin to feel entitled.
@past you are no where near the longest delay that makes me move a comic to the hiatus folder. I’m not going to say what that criteria is, simply to keep things civil. Seriously you communicate so we know you haven’t say died.
I hope theory and practice align for you with the other project.
And I wish for an extended period of reliability for your tablet!
