Comic for Thursday, June 4th
Not too much to say on this page. It’s pretty sparse as we start a new chapter. We are now on Chapter 3!
I ended up redrawing this page twice. I really am bad at characters walking, backgrounds, and people at a distance, and this page in all it’s iterations were pretty much just some combination of those things. I’m pretty unhappy with this page, which is a shame as I was pretty happy with the last handful, but at the end of the day you can’t win ’em all I guess. Tomorrow will be better!
In case it’s not clear, it’s the morning after the last chapter!
There is a new vote incentive! Another quick digital painting – this time proving that Kally is, in fact, not always (quite) scowling!

Ah great. Smith AND Jones are at the bottom of the steps.
Looks like your TWC link is broken
It comes out as “http://%27http//topwebcomics.com/vote/19003/default.aspx” instead of “http://topwebcomics.com/vote/19003/default.aspx”
Haha, interesting, though that link is a lie by now anyway as it’s been a long time since that vote incentive 😉
Thanks for letting me know though! Fixed it, just in case 😀
Yep, now watch more UV’s and page reads come trickling in. You are now visible to those intrepid souls who have decided to check out the second page aTWC. ^^t
I just checked out the new Voting Incentive, and without her scowl, Kally is…..is beautiful!. O.o
She would probably scowl at that.
It was a bit of a quick paint (probably about an hour – you can see some unfinished edges) but came out well enough I didn’t mind putting it up for the incentive; it was rough but looks more like it’s supposed to than some. Well, besides the whole not scowling part. That doesn’t look much like her.
I think the reason I’d like to get better at art the most is to be able to draw the characters like they are supposed to look like. It’s why I get frustrated with the art – I know what it supposed to look like! 😀
No artist I know is satisfied with the difference between what they visualized, and what they produced. Like a friend told me when I complimented a painting, “This is nothing. You should have seen it in my head.”
I noticed you’re under 200 on TWC! Nice! \(^.^)/
Thanks! We are now on the first page of sorting by “fantasy” and “sci-fi”, it’s pretty cool.
