Comic for Monday, March 21st
Mar21
Well, look at that. That’s basically on time. Watch out for raining frogs or some other sign of the apocalypse…
It seems that at least one player has realized something is wrong with the board…
But where does this dot connect to? π
I don’t think eating in the office is against the rules, but our IDS staffer here somehow manages make it look guilty as all hell.
You know there is trouble afoot when the dramatic wind that’s been kicking up follows Arron in doors… π
Also is everything all right?
Comic will be tonight, if that’s what you mean. Still on Monday/Thursday for the time being (should probably actually put a note somewhere shouldn’t I?)
It would probably help. Though if your plans are to abolish it in the near future, it’s probably not worth the effort. Maybe have it as first sentence in the author’s commentary.
I’ve settled for a compromise where it’s sort of posted in a widget above the commentary; reckon most people that’ll be effected will see that.
I would say I hope to abolish it and go back to MWF, but am currently having to grapple with reality on that.
Re the looking guilty, it probably has more to do with reclining with his feet on the desk than it being cops with donuts. Which is actually an unfortunate trope. Cops are basically screwed. If they work nights then the only thing open with coffee are the donut places. They drive super recognizable vehicles so even if they each only go once, it loiks like every place has multiple police vehicles at it. The implied belief is that they are some how derelicting their duty by being there is Totally Bogus.
I think this is the moment where Arron lets loose some choice words that would bring the rating of this comic straight up into the adult section if shown “on screen”. (^_^)
Haha; or I’ll have to get creative with my vernacular again… Arron probably has some choice phrases he can draw on in times of great need… π
I can make it rain frogs…just toss a stick of dynamite in the creek out by my house…i never said they would still be alive while falling from the sky π
π Well, let’s not hurry it along. One sign of the apocalypse is probably enough for now…
Its not necessarily dramatic wind. If you wear a long coat like a trench open in the front, and then walk quickly with a long stride, its will parachute out around your knees. Usually they are made of some high thread count tight weave that makes them stiff. As such, they don’t have much vertical roll, but instead flap back and forth in a swirly motion as the captured air spills out of the sides. If the coat ends in tails rather than being a continual surface, then the ends have more of a vertical motion depending on how long the split is. If you took a tall rectangle sheet of sail cloth material in a half circle you could simulate this effect with a hair dryer. something stiffer like jean would be too thick and not parachute out properly.
Yeah, I mean I typically don’t draw enough pull and fluff (as I call it) to clothes, but then tend to go overkill in more action orientied scenes (especially with hair) because it entertains me.
This time is just funny to me since it’s a pretty tame scene in the movement involved. For the longest time clothes have been something I want to work on drawing better; cloth is a challenging one but I think marks a lot of improvements if you draw clothes like they are made of cloth rather then just sort of… whatever I usually do π
This is officially my new favorite page. ^^ I love the faces of the mice caught playing while they thought the cat was going to be away longer, and Arron has aged about twenty years.
I’m pretty sure Arron can figure out who the “informant” is without too much trouble, and since he already wants to have a foot-to-butt chat with Peter, this will only add urgency to that project. ^^
Haha π Well, I’m glade that I can raise the bar on the Delta-v front. Arron has been aging ever since we’ve met him, poor guy.
I suspect Arron’s got an idea on the ‘informant’ yes… probably not a good slice of news considering the rest of the dots he’s collected recently.
