Kinda looks like that might be the case. It is 9:35 PM Monday, March 4, 2024 (HST)
Time on Johnston Island in the Pacific so there is a bit less than 2-1/2 Monday hours left. I wonder the fireworks with Peter and crew are delaying transmission from the Palace Beyond.
Just a thought but the Kor’s soldiers in the armored suits may be in short supply. The Kor in charge had to pull a previously wounded soldier from a medical pod to deal with Peter. Did Naomi rip that soldier’s arm off earlier? I don’t remember how he lost the arm. Thanks in advance.
It was Kally and Fluffy that removed the arm from that Kor’s world soldier.
The soldier currently fighting them is very worried since recognizing that fact.
Thanks for the reply. I didn’t remember how the armored Kor lost his arm. I still wonder why the head Kor in gray activated a wounded soldier instead of using an uninjured soldier. To me, this indicated a shortage of armored soldiers.
Absolutely. They have a big spaceship here, but not many on board.
They also seem low on mechanicals, or they’d have activated a few of those as well. If there’s a risk to the ship itself without an option to retreat, then it’s logically a ‘use all available resources to the ship that could help’ situation. And a single wounded soldier is what was available?
Kor’s World may be a boogeyman, but it’s a boogeyman that’s low on resources. That said, it’s difficult to say if it’s low on resources because Kor’s World in general is tapped out, or if it’s because Palindra was a remote outpost and they hadn’t actually shipped much in the way of resources here. Like if this is secretly a retirement paradise for some of their people, they might have a watch post to make sure stuff is fine, but otherwise not be too worried about it.
At least, until now.
That said, if it was that case, I’d think they’d have reported the soldier losing his arm and requested backup a few chapters back. Admittedly, if I’m not mistaken, that could mean earlier today, as I don’t recall having seen any reported time skips or other indications of the passage of time.
Another more Grim suggestion would be that they are activating this injured Soldier to go chase down the anomalous people on the off chance they are formidable. This way they don’t end up with another injured Soldier and learn some of the tactics.
It could also indicate a degree of specialization, different skill levels, or level of decision-making authority. Of course, with any of these possibilities, a shortage of soldiers would aggrevate the problem.
Panel 2 has Fluffy fading. Hopefully our nice dragon is okay and survives to eat a Kor’s entity or two.
In panel 6, the Kor’s guy says “It is cautioned that the intruder may be a non-trivial entity.” Translated to English this means “I think we need a bigger boat!” LOL
I’m sure our nice dragon is sufficiently anchored to not lose too much data from this incident. But he may need to be resummoned.
That will be a moment during which Dragon can’t be breathing Dragon fire, and Kally can’t be doing other spell work. But she’s remarkably fast at this spell considering its complexity, so it should be fine.
I wonder if this is an explody projection like the one that took care of the unamed and presumably deceased goon or the less exploding version that visited his Uncle’s office.
I think this is a non-exploding type image since Peter does not want the carrier destroyed. Of course, he may not care if he has the info he needs. The first frame with Peter’s image appeared solid. However, looking closely, the outline of the panel behind him can be seen through the image. My old eyes missed that at first.
Peter was prepared as usual.
Kor’s world is too arrogant to immediately lose their sanity. They’ll take increasingly desperate countermeasures as Peter casually wanders through their best defenses and eventually suffer a breakdown once they’re driven out of their own ship.
Don’t forget, Miko decided to also join in on the fun. Especially since she foreshadowed Peter actually getting caught for once. So, there’s a decent chance someone actually ends up in trouble.
It may end up in a battle of Naomi vs injured soldier, Mium against control or similar, and Miko vs the guy giving orders. With the funniest part being the soldier going “Wait, you were dead.”
guess the next page is gonna be a bit late huh?

Naomi ripped the arm off of the Orish war mage when Kepler was ambushed.

Peter really gets a lot of work out of the illusion.

Comic!
Ich liebe dich, Past.
Ha! Even Kor’s world can’t tell when Peter’s messing with them.
Next page will feature the soldier slowly losing his mind.
slowly? alternatively, dude might just be convinced to flee/chase down a figment while the real work is done without their interference
