Comic for Friday, September 25th
Does this count as my first page with graphic violence? Do I need to put warning tags on it?*Β It may look tame to you, but as someone with a history of shoulder dislocation problems, let me tell you, this page was a little disturbing to draw… π
For those counting, we’ve now seen two out of three of our interlopers. Any bets where the third one is? π
I guess Kally is going to have to do this one robot arm at a time.
There is a yet another sketchbook.Β It’s a little… off. It’s in the same vein as the last one, but another character. I bet you can guess who it would be. I promised I’d post it when finished, but yesh. I was not prepared to draw someone smiling. I actually tried to find a reference, but real people look weird too, so I didn’t end up using one. Anyway, will probably focus on a little more normally-stylized (my comic style) art for a bit after that.
Feel free to suggest vote incentives or sketchbooks.
Past Utopia, Print! will be repurposedΒ and rebooted as I said I was going to do months ago. I’m going to combine it with the blog section of this page. It’s a little hard to describe, but you’ll be able to see it soon. I will probably update every-other-week as the posts will take a little time to put together. It will be a blog covering informative humor with mini-comics π More related to the rest of my work than this comic, but perhaps some of you will enjoy, so I’ll drop a link when the first post goes up, probably next week. Topics will include Technology, Marketing and Business. It will be pretty random though.
*This question is rhetorical. I have no intention of including content tags on my comic pages. It’sΒ a PG-13 comic.
Well, at least they are not being actively eaten by a dragon now… but there are scarier things than dragons. Some which have purple hair? ^^
Haha π
I don’t know. Dragons are pretty scary. There is a reason that Kally had to stop with the dragon eating robot though π
Kally did a good job of disarming that robot. Seems like Naomi’s not the only loose cannon around here π
Disarming. I see what you did there π
The other loose cannon is under that pile of rocks.

This about sums up my feelings on the matter.
This comment chain is pure gold ^^
Translation:
-Hmmm.
-Oh, I get it, that’s funny.
-Wait. That means it totally went over my head the first time. I’m dumb.
-I hate puns.
But indeed, a job well done, good sir, a job well done. π
Well, we’ve only seen three, so there may be more. Three is more of a reconnaissance probe than an attack, and from the way Kally is neutralizing them, not much of that, either. If I had to guess, the third one is probably being pounded on mercilessly by Naomi, unless she has already destroyed it and is on her way to help Kally with this one.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if they double-teamed it, but the more likely outcome would be Kally being upset that a civilian was involving herself in IDS affairs.
My laptop glitched and posted my comment, then glitched again and may have given me a chance to finish–or it might double-post. I just wanted to say that I noticed that you had gave Kally the new eyes with the smaller reflection spots, and that the sketchbook image has all the features in harmony, but the head itself is slightly too small. Aside from that, I think you’ve got it. ^^
Will remove the double post, no worries π
I’ve been slowly moving toward the new eyes for a couple pages. They are somewhere between the eyes I used for the sketchbooks and the old way; it’s like… the fourth major eye iteration, but I think they are getting better π
As always I appreciate the feedback and the kind words on the sketchbook. I got a long way to go before I’d call myself an artist π
There are a lot of complicated relations to juggle. What Kally will think of Naomi is a good question. On one hand… definitely loose cannon. On the other hand… less Peter-like than Peter. That’s got be a plus…? π
