Comic for Friday, December 4th
Well, that’s almost on time. Fun fact – I repeated my mistake from last time and typed it up as Comic for December 14th. I dunno. I’m just living ten days in the future.
I think Arron got a few years older of the course of these pages. That was the intention anyway…
There is a broad range of A.I. – we’ve already seen a few types I suppose. I think most have guessed which category our favorite little virus-person falls into… and maybe why people call him as such…
S.M.A.I are generally illegal (and/or tightly regulated) – or at least they would be if anyone could make them. That said, A.I. in general is not; many advanced systems have some level of A.I. – it’s not all that odd that Peter would’ve had some level of A.I. considering his reputation and background at the time of his being an IDS agent; that said, these A.I. are not expected to have anything other than entirely superficial personality and discrete set of tasks they are capable of processing. They aren’t considered very… flexible 😉
Only one more comic on vacation till I’m back home. May take a day or two get settled, but expect a good bit of catch up on stuff – at least a new vote incentive or three for the I.O.U’s on that front 😛
Remote relay casting huh. It’s about as functional as I’d expect Kor’s world to be. If I’m right then I guess that the mobile tanks would be more like an analog autocaster, capable of not only receiving a spell from a mage but also the mage’s key activation.
On the subject of mobile tanks, aka giant robots, I’m curious what their aggro management skills are. I mean they can hardly be expected to tank if they can’t grab hate on everything. 😛
Them tricky folks those Kor’s world folks. They are still a few generations ahead of the IDS in technology. I think you’ve gotten pretty close to the mark on that one 😉
And like a highly specialized autocaster, it’s why we don’t see them using a wide range of magic; while they probably have more than the single magic we saw them use, they mostly rely on conventional weaponry.
I think the tanks pulled agro pretty well. The got the DPS (Kally and Naomi) to go chase them around for awhile. Unfortunately they didn’t have enough Armor Class for the DPS received…
Yeah, Arron is aging by the minute, and you’re depicting that well. 🙂
Kally isn’t scowling here. Is that good–or bad?
Well, without Peter around she has less scowling to do… We havent seen her much without Peter being around or being the subject of conversation.
Though to be fair scowling does seem to come easily to her.
