Thus starts Chapter 11 and Page 382 I think… egads getting close to 400, that’s just freaking bonkers. Major props to all of you that have made it this far! π
Well, I would hardly call the break an unmitigated success on content repository replenishment, but we do have a buffer of 1, so… least we didn’t lose progress? π
Peter sort of has the inverse of most people when it comes to appereance. You can tell he hasn’t slept recently by how neat his clothes and hair is. You only have to really worry when the hair isn’t sticking up anymore -… uh-oh.
I am joking π
…
Sort of.
Anyway, sorry for the delay, and hopefully we won’t have another one of those for awhile. I am currently think we might end up running the Part II of Minus Years near the end of November, but that’s not set in stone… it’s not even done on Patreon yet, so… maybe a little ambitious……. π
I’m assuming from the context that Peter was talking to Mium–possibly on a computer terminal. I don’t think Arron has met any if Mium’s parts except Query, so this may be something new for him, whatever form Mium is currently using. ^^
Peter is seriously in the Interim position….and he looks so pleased
about it, too! (And the conversation is still about buildings blowing up with him in them. Excuse me, I think I may need to laugh myself comatose….about all of those points….)
I love Arron’s way with words. Panel 6, the bubble on the right. He manages implied threat (and what sounds something like implied declarations of war) and “I’d like to be nice, if you’ll actually cooperate”, so well….
Anyway, I do so hope they get into a lengthy and verbose discussion. (Which….for them probably means actually talking for more than two panels….heh.)
“lengthy and verbose” are two things you can usually count on in this comic, least when Peter’s involved… π
Peter or just the Keplers in general? Because so far it seems like a family trait…
It’s wishful thinking, but I really hope that Peter and Arron can complete their conversation this time. There are a lot of things they need to go over, and we could a learn a lot from them going over it…
Hmmmm….. we could learn a lot, but since when do people learn things from Peter saying things? π
So they finally get a serioua chance to talk. Frankly im just wondering how many people are going to be trying to kill Atter at this point. He pretty much pissed off everyone and his former handlers have to disown him to escape the fallout. (And Mium: this is why the plan of killing everyone is not reasonable. It greatly simplifies the equation but it presupposes you actually pull it off. Fail and things become exponentially more difficult.)
“He pretty much pissed off everyone and his former handlers have to disown him to escape the fallout.”
Atter certainly has pissed off a lot of people and the Malsan military is probably looking for him. However, I suspect Sophia will still shelter Atter if he makes it to the rendezvous. The way they look at it, as long as they win there will be no fallout. It was stated that Central is waiting to see which way the wind blows. And, clearly, most of Central – Sophia and Biana especially – never considered Malsa that big of a threat. IDS’s impression of Malsa and Palindra as a whole may change as things develop, though, esp. with Peter and friends still being all meddlesome.
I suppose you can tell that Peter is out of his element when he looks nice, because if it was one of HIS plans, then he wouldn’t have to look nice.
It’s sort of like a turtle shell, a layer of defenses π
Also – who’d recognize normal Peter from seeing actually dressed up Peter? Bam, proto disguise. π
No twist except the twisting of someone’s arm.
Panel 1: “that seems to be rather missing the point that she slagged the armored car analog at four hundred paces in her evaluation.” Panel 6: “let me clarify. there is something i am launching: a military operation to destroy in this country.”
Uh… I had Panel 6 really wrong. Yeah… π
Anyway… fixed, thanks π
I see, and i apologize for my messups.
“Median average” should be “median” or “average”
Much to my surprise one day while reading a dictionary (it was study hall and I had nothing to study, so…) I found that ‘median’ and ‘mode’ are considered averages, along with mean. So ‘median average’ is not quite as redundant as you might think. And it seems like it’s in character for a Kepler to be specific on this point. Considering that Query is kind of Peter’s child, I think Muim counts.
Note: this is actually a bigger point than most people would think – pay attention to advertising a bit closer, and you’ll possibly see that sometimes, when they say “the average “, they’re not talking the mean. Though I suspect the resulting enforcement erosion has allowed them to be less diligent about admitting these things in the fine print, so it may be harder to spot now than it was in the 80s.
