The more I think about Naomi being away for a year, and returning to be in the same class as her former classmate… Is this high school and social promotion is a thing? I can’t imagine a college equivalent doing that. I suppose it’s possible that Naomi somehow had a transcript from wherever she went to save the world, or tested out of the material missed. It seems less likely that her wealthy parents just threw enough money at the school they promoted her rather than admit to her parents, “Well, she actually didn’t show up to a single class, so we flunked her.”
Edit: Just to clarify, I tend to think of this as probably closer to college, because Peter and Kally had meaningful jobs before this (Kally still does, but the point is, it’s not new, she’s been there a while.) Also, with the amount of liberty they take regarding their classes, it feels like the college experience. I had several classmates who would only show up to one or two classes the first week of a semester.
But then, on the other hand, the bit where it seems like everyone is taking the followup class to the course from the prior semester, and they’d apparently done that the prior semester as well, that seems much more like high school. I mean, I certainly knew some students who did that for all of their major classes until they got to specialization. But they generally only had a few classmates who also did that along with them. So I’m kind of always guessing.
However, at this point in the story, we’ve also seen that her associates don’t seem to hold any particular concern about hacking into a wide variety of systems and indicating “current status = X, even though you thought it should be less” and then taking advantage of that. It’s quite feasible that such tactics were used to allow Naomi to stay with her friends in class.
Tyler’s story refers to him going to “a university” before transferring to Levenworth, so I think that either Palindra students go to university earlier, or this is what we call a college education. Tyler’s story actually goes into a good bit more depth in how Levenworth’s classes work, and it is definitely more like a college where students are picking their classes.
Regarding Naomi, it is also worth keeping in mind that she is apparently usually sleeps through class anyway, so her showing up or not has little bearing on if she would have passed the class or not. But if you combine the fact that she is (under all the being Naomi) very smart with the fact that she has access to Mium (to do her homework, tell her what the test questions will be, and probably give her access to things she could not be taught) passing any make up tests or acquiring credits she did not earn is probably trivial.

It seems a bit more college-ish to me.
