The Malsan Bureau is, loosely speaking, the department of intelligence and affairs for Malsa. The Magical Security Branch is a newer branch of it that handles mages, gates, autocaster proliferation, and mysteries; things like that. This notably overlaps with things the IDS is supposed to police, and consequently is one of the sources of friction between the IDS and Malsa.
hmm old redone page but hologram lady’s second ‘bubble’ third panel “… I told you leave alone.” should probably be “… I told you to leave alone.” Like it was in the original version.
Speaking of avatars I sometimes wonder what people think of mine, I made it some time ago could really use an update but I use it everywhere that has a custom avatar and that seems like a lot of work to fix.
Fixed! Such is the danger or writing the pages, since the new format is pretty much entirely different I cannot copy the test over… and when I’m typing there is errors 😛
The way avatars work for this site for most people is that I give them site-specific avatar override for this site. Essentially if you have a site one, it will use that, if you don’t have a site one, it will use your gravatar general avatar, if you don’t have either, you’ll get the random generated pattern one.
I know how the avatars work here, I just like to be consistent with how I present myself.
I am in the process of designing my new avatar, not sure if/when that will be done and if I will want to use it just here or everywhere when I do finish.
I keep re-reading the comic from the start because of the way I can now really appreciate how coherently it holds together. For example here I can now really get a feeling for a later revealed family connection through speech patterns and style. He types trying to avoid *spoiler*.
If you ever feel up for sharing feedback or general confusions across the story line after re-reading it, it’s always helpful to know. Always looking for ways to improve the new reader experience, and my writing in general.
Actually this was meant as pure compliment. Noticing the fore mentioned similarity is the kind of neat thing I suspect most people like about following a comic over time. Someone just starting can’t appreciate something they don’t know yet but in retrospect it shows your dedication to the story from the start. Well done.
on a completely unrelated topic if you are still giving custom avatars I wouldn’t mind a bunny with a pancake on it’s head seeing as you already drew it.
Who is Malsan Bureua?

Minor typo in top left balloon of panel 3 … `Malsan bureua` should be `Malsan bureau`
Is this the introduction of Biana?
Yup, that’s Biana.

Avatar has been bunny-ified.
