Hmmmm… just some random idle thoughts. Peter speculates that the things he took could be tracked. Were the items shielded from tracking before he took them? Perhaps Peter is looking for company on company building blowing upping but things could get real interesting if Kor’s world minions show up. That might trigger an IDS response and then Malsa forces pile on. Rovak shows up to blow some more things up. I’d suggest launching observation drones and making some popcorn for anyone wanting to watch.
Peter doesn’t seem to be 100% sure it is trackable. There might be some other explanation, but he’s testing some theories.
And if it was Kor’s World, he’d probably have an idea. Sounds like he knows someone has been blowing up his houses in response to something he’s snagged before. He just doesn’t know who it is for certain, and he’s not sure they didn’t find him through some other means.
For instance Mium seems like he could trace someone by street camera footage rather than having a tracking device in something. Or frankly Peter’s actions seem like something that a Mium like mind could eventually track by the wake he leaves behind.
Perhaps Peter is going to spread items around to see who attacks where. Taking out enemies using other enemies is Peter’s methodology … in a manner of speaking.
We have a precedent for this. This is effectively what he did with Tyler, giving different information to different people as to which hospital he was at.
All the stranger when multiple people find the correct place.
The tricky part there was that he didn’t give any of them the right directions… Magnolia just showed up at the right place anyway, and didn’t even seem to realize that Peter had given her the wrong place.
Oh, that doesn’t deter you? You do realize you’re not blond, so nobody’s going to be mistaking you for him. As such, it’s just an example of the sort of person you’re acting like.
Honestly, Rovak is more of a “I wanna blow stuff up myself” kind of guy. Peter is more like a “please stop beating on me and go beat on someone else who wants to beat on me” kind of guy.
The optics are often, unfortunately, pretty similar.
Maybe Past was in a hurry due to time constraints. In addition to the short intro, he didn’t include the character names with this comic. How are we supposed to know who the characters in this comic are? I’m confused! LOL
I think Glider’s been around long enough he probably knows who is whom. I’m a bit more concerned about what’s going on with this building, with its extra-wide roof access door, and the nearby utility cabinets for electricity, water, and Undeath. One of those utilities isn’t like the other, and I feel like somebody should do something about it. Somebody call the cops.
Oh, wait, they’re technically here already. And also doing something about it.
Sorry that I wasn’t clear that my comment about character names was a joke with the LOL at the end. If I truly forgot who Peter and Kally are, I probably won’t be of sound enough mind to operate a computer anymore.
I think Peter and Kally are still at the building where they bluffed their way through a building’s security. In the Monday, May 2nd, 2022 comic, Fluffy trashed a lab and Peter got info from a computer. However, I do not remember exactly what building it is. Does anyone know?
Hope this comment sticks with the reference to the page. A funny moment with Peter telling Fluffy “No, you cannot eat me.”
My understanding is that Peter obtained both info from the computer and some physical items that he believes are being tracked.
So he is planning to leave those items in a different building that isn’t his (so he doesn’t mind if it gets blown up) so he can watch the blowing up, and see who does it. That would be a strange plan if this was the same building he stole from.
That makes sense. Peter mentioned several companies developing products using “Ark” technology. Peter may be setting those companies up to fighting each other. So, yes, Peter steals from one company and takes the stolen items to another company.
Um, hey, that looks remarkably similar to somewhere I once worked. It wasn’t Undeath, it was uncertainty. You’d be surprised at how useful properly managed uncertainty can be.
The picture here doesn’t include the safety diamonds, which somehow had the numbers 4, 5, and 6 in no particular order. I mean, yeah, 4 I understand, but I thought that was supposed to be the highest number.
That said, the weekly evacuations were kind of a pain. Supposedly, they had a policy of having at least one evacuation per month and filling in with a drill if they didn’t have a real emergency, but I don’t remember having any actual drills ever.
Also, somebody stole my lunch like every day. It didn’t matter how spicy, bitter, or putrid I made it. Lutefisk durain kimchee? Gone, no complaints. Also, no smell, which seemed odd. Towards the end of my contract there, I was tempted to start trying things that were technically not foodstuffs, but I didn’t actually go there. Instead, one day I was advised that my services were no longer required, despite still having five weeks of contract remaining and an impeccable record.
It wasn’t something I considered complaining about even for a moment. So glad to be away from there.

@Peter: Rovak Stas.

the last panel: “we’ll be visiting though.”
Fixed, thanks.
And Brother Parvus thought last week’s intro was brief!
Thanks, Past! My week is warmer and fuzzier with a little Peter and Kally in it!

PS – Thanks for the comic Past.

Peter did say he wanted plausible disability. Perhaps Past omitted names out of deference to Peter & Crew.
