Sometimes steps forward and steps backward look very similar with art – so which is this? I don’t know. But steps somewhere is important I guess.
Avon: A tech company. While they are relatively unassuming, there is a lot of rumors about what they are actually doing. While they release very little of their tech, it seems apparent they have made large strides in cybernetic augmentation, artificial intelligence, and mechanical psionics.
While Avon is part of PACT. While they are influential, they are usually a silent member rarely using that influence. They are looking for Mium, but would prefer not to involve the IDS or Malsa in the hunt.

This story has so much information that you’re not even touching on. There’s literally no buildup at all- it’s the literary equivalent of dropping somebody into a live action combat zone with no information about who’s fighting, or even which side they’re on- “STUFF IS HAPPENING AND THERE’S A LOT OF STUFF!” I rather hope that improves…
I’m reading this for the first time, and you haven’t actually explained what PACT is yet. So telling us that Avon is part of PACT is not too helpful. Hopefully it’ll become more clear as I go along…
