Well, I guess this is the end of the comic, everyone going out with a big boom. No way any of them can survive this.
I get the feeling peter already got off with what he needed, and this has just been a play to convince Kor’s world to destroy their own ship and hence ruin their own ability to figure out what he even took, without having to rely on Kally destroying the ship.
This was more or less the only conclusion a kor’s world ai could have come to, after what peter started logicing it with, and as peter said he understands ai well enough to have not directed the ai into this thought path unintentionally
Kor’s guard forsakes his Oath of Control and joins the party so they can work together to escape the plane???
Peter has talked to Fluffy before when it was fully manifested, but is the first time someone besides Kally has talked to Fluffy while its speech is still rendered as ‘roar’?
I feel like Peter might have, but there was some doubt if Peter could actually understand it or was just guessing what it said.
something screwy’s going on with the comments again.
I assume that you are familiar with the military piece of jargon called SNAFU. Please remember that the first two letters stand for “Situation Normal”, and this applies to the status of the commenting system. If everything is working correctly, be afraid. Be very afraid.
By the way, Peter would have probably loved the history of the “Ghost Army” in World
War II ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Army ).
Rico: Kaboom? Skipper: Yes Rico, Kaboom.
This is the problem with being a chessmaster: your plans fall apart as soon as you fail to account for someone’s behavior correctly. And he doesn’t have enough context for how Kor’s World operates to really predict them, even with having more knowledge of them than most of the IDS.
He really should have seen that coming: isn’t it similar to what Mium would want to do? . . .
Future-proof your plans by killing everybody! Looks like Control reached its best before date… or had it pushed forwards by excessive exposure to Peter.
Feels sort of like this plan was one of those rapidly evolving gambits. He realized that Ellipses (presumably) wasn’t really working on Control, so managed to introduce enough doubt into its logic that it could work… but it seems Control reacted with scorched earth immediately.
That feels pretty predictable based on what we know of Kor’s World, but not sure Peter had a better play once Control had already caught him. Feels like he took a bigger-than-usual risk coming on board alone, but Miko sort of implied that his judgement was somewhat impaired when it comes to Kor’s World.
The artist/author has been leaving us clues, and the clue this time is the line art doesn’t QUITE line up with the fill, but only for Peter. This is only true for this strip; Peter was opaque and the colors fully aligned in the very last strip. At least the version of him that Control cornered was.
Oddly enough, Control, despite being a projection, and partially transparent, (one of the Peters’ isn’t), has crisp alignment between the line-art and the fill.
Ordinarily, I’d think you were smoking something, but this author…this is exactly the sort of clue Past would give us! I’m not good at spotting them, thanks!
