This is one of those pages where some time at some point ago I thought “Eh, I’ll be able to figure out to draw that”. Then, facing the reality of having to draw that now, I can only curse the bastard who thought that was a good idea.

Maybe I’ll write a book instead. 😐

Anyway…

It’ll be back to 2 comics next week unfortunately, having only made up one so far. I’ll see if I can find something to make up the other two eventually πŸ˜‰ .

Mione and Marc were picked to follow Tyler because they both have high enough interference to not be effected by his magic here. Not that they are heating themselves up, but they their personal Eidos interference is high enough that the magic doesn’t directly effect them. They are still standing in the sudden hail / slush, unfortunately, thus Mione’s grumbling. This is why I mentioned earlier that they were not picked necessarily for their combat strength, but something that highly correlates to it. Obviously having a high interference strength is very useful in when two mages are fighting. Think of it this way – Tyler sends out a magic missive telling Eidos “you should be a lot colder”; without anyone to nay-say that, things become a lot colder; interference is telling Eidos “no, that’s wrong”. A glorious explanation, I know… πŸ˜‰

Additionally, this more or less confirms that Tyler is an Innate Mage as well as a Natural Mage, and his Innate Ability has to do freezing things. It’s not ‘making ice’ though it tends to have that side effect, even when it’s not raining.

I imagine the segment of you that read the comic and the segment that read the blog are fairly small, but I did recently update it concerning advertising in the webcomic market. Short version is it’s really pretty bad right now.
